Curioso comentario el de George Loomis en la crítica del New York Times a las recientes “Iolanta” y “Persephone” en el Real. Dice así: “Still, this double bill represents the kind of adventuresome programming Mr. Mortier would have brought to the New York City Opera had his appointment in 2007 come to fruition. Instead, mismanagement and the overall financial downturn have threatened the company’s future. Now perhaps Mr. Mortier is looking eastward, for the new double bill is another co-production he has engineered between the Teatro Real and Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater.”
Por lo visto hasta NY han llegado los rumores sobre la “especial” relación que Mortier mantiene con el Bolshoi.
